FidelityFX Super Resolution 3
AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (AMD FSR) was originally released in 2021 and updated to AMD FSR 2 back in 2022 featuring cutting-edge upscaling technology to improve framerates with minimal visual impact. And with AMD FSR 3, it now combines their super resolution temporal upscaling technology and frame generation to further increase framerates, up to 3.3 times in some instance, in supported games.
AMD FSR 3 is an open technology designed as a scalable solution with frame generation that supports multiple hardware platforms. With that said, GPU support will range across multiple generations both from AMD and NVIDIA
“Gamers today are choosing 1440p displays more than any other display resolution,” said Scott Herkelman, senior vice president and general manager, Graphics Business Unit at AMD. “Today’s high-refresh 1440p displays deliver the incredibly vibrant visuals and smooth, fluid gameplay gamers expect.
